MelEcho Productions Inc. is beyond the average television/video production company. As producers we are observant to the mass amount of negativity and immoral appraisals that are swamping throughout the entertainment industry. It is part of our mission, passion and sincere devotion to make a positive and empowering difference in the lives of our clients, friends, family and audiences abroad.
With over 20 years of experience, our goal is to work with individuals, businesses and organizations who are determined to rebuild the quality of perceptions and behaviors within our society, while opening doors for enriching opportunities for all.
The name of the company is the combination of the founder's nicknames;
Melanie "Mel" Thomas and Sha'von "Echo" Reed. As children their nicknames were individually given and now,
together, their names represent so much more.

- The 2005 Minority Entrepreneurial Excellence Award from the Sarasota Greater Chamber of Commerce.
- The 2005 Business and Industry of the Year Award from the NAACP.
- City of Miami Award from Mayor Manuel A. Diaz for participating in the 2005 American Black Film Festival’s Youth Film Workshop.
- Publications: Tempo News Sarasota, Gulf Coast Living Venice, Downtown and Beyond Sarasota, Tamp Bay Journal Tampa, Sarasota Herald Tribune’s Biz Monday, and The Sarasota Chamber of Commerce Monthly Newsletter.
- On May 1, 2005 MelEcho was awarded a plaque of Appreciation from the Yong Lawyers Division of the Sarasota County Bar Association for producing an Educational DVD.
